Khurai Assembly constituency (36) is located in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh and comes under the Sagar Lok Sabha constituency. As per the estimates of 2011 census, out of total 280674 population 81.79% are rural and 18.21% are urban population. The Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes ratios are 24.27 and 9.51 respectively out of total population. As per the voter list of 2017, there are electorates and polling stations in this constituency. Voter turnout in the 2013 assembly election was 76.05% where as it was 63.52% in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. The BJP, the INC and the BSP got 45.47% , 41.02% and 7.03% votes respectively in 2013 while 54.74%, 39.23% and 2.68% in 2014 respectively.
